you still dont get it the whole point of being a pilot was that great risk and sense of flight with those gone its no longer flying just another stupid game

Im talkting about man controlled UAV's here, not self flying aircraft. No pilot is in trouble of having their jobs taken away because of these things. They recruit real pilots to fly these. Infact they open up more job oppertunities. People with asthma and other disorders will be able to pilot these UCAV's. This also is not a subject of laziness, its about saving lives on our side, wile being many times more effective.

Given the limited domain of variables compared to harder problems in computing it is only a couple of years before whole jet squadrons are autonomous. They can stay in the air much longer, weigh less, need no life support systems or controls and can be controlled easier.

haha, that's retarded. The human inhibits the maximum potential of the jet. There are already prototypes scramjets that are expected to reach Mach 15. With this generation of fighter jets no human would even be wanted. Technology is improving so rapidly that the military is expected to be 30% autonomous within 5-10 years and since the acceleration curve is only steepening it is will only become larger quicker.

because your taking their jobs away and not only that pilots live for the thrill of flying you take away what they live for everyone who lives today loves the thrill of defying the odds of death these people are no different we are in a time of hieghtened technology at the cost of people becoming increasingly lazy this is no exception i doubt its a war winner probably just make it worse like the plane did in the first world war

idk how many G's a person can withstand, but with UCAVs you will be able to pull way more than humanely possible. So what if its fucking fun, id rather have our airforce equiped with 20 G planes than 9 G's which is the highest we have I believe, the F-16. Why would you put someones life on the line if you can do the same job without any danger, and do it more effectively.

lol
infiltrat0r (July 23, 2008 at 1:37 pm)
not if it can pull 20g and do mach 8 lol

piliots will always be better when it comes to dogfighting
jackster65 (July 21, 2008 at 6:23 pm)
you didnt even read my message did you 12g turns are possible for the human body but its dangerous for them of course thats the point of being a fighter pilot they like to be where all the action and danger is and ucavs are in all honesty are meant for pussies all people do these days is sit in thier chairs and push a button no glory anymore just laziness even though there is a down side to that glory i will admit
