...or in general something else in your computer.Else, maybe something you do wrong when you try to load a video to blender. Please check my blend file too to compare what I've done there to what you have done. :-)

If you can load my "taping finger" video to your blender without a problem, then the fault goes to the codec of your video. If you can't load my video to blender, then maybe there is a problem to your Operating System or to the installation of blender. Blender does not have a problem loading my video.

There should not be a problem. If you use one of your own video *.avi file maybe something is wrong with the codec of the video, because if you use some kind of strange encoding for I am not sure how blender could handle it...!!!Please try the video file which I have available to download from my site (it Works for sure), do a test with it and tell me if you could load it in blender without a problem or not.

When i press to set it as background image i with a .avi file it says can not get an image. It also wont load as a texture. is there anything i can do to fix this?
madseeds (July 1, 2008 at 6:56 am)
In general, Part 1:43 of this video shows how we put "image plane" to our viewport in blender. Part 3:51 shows how we put an image to a texture in blender (for the plane). In our case the image is a video. It's nothing hard or so special. :-) Please try it in blender and you will find that it is as easy as it looks in video-tutorial...:-)

You can download blender for free from blender's Official site. The reason I made that tutorial was to show a technique for blender and help that way the spreading of knowledge for that program, so everyone can understand it's power and use it. ;-)

I don't know how to handle in effectslab and visionlab. This tutorial is for the open source "blender" program. Please check the link to my site to the "more options" (right&up side of this page) and download the *.blend file from my site and explore it. :-)

Hey!I tried this with effectslab pro demo and the file ended with .avi and it worked. For some reason I tried it with the real version of visionlab and that ended in .vlab.avi but for some reason it didn't work. In the backround image pop-up in 01:43 of this vid it said can not find image inbetween that space in the middle of the pop-up. It also said can not find image in the space inbetween the buttons in 03:51 of this vid. PLZ HELP!! |
