cool it's like when i play "empire earth" i make the world put people in in stark them of at different levels of technology.i seat different limits of how advance they can get and what allies they have.

rantasoya,I'm a computer programmer. If you say that evolution is impossible because of a "blind process", the programmers implemented that "blind process", and it worked. The programmer don't know what will happen, and does not put the design of the creatures. The programmer did not design the creatures: they are designed by genetic algorithms (technique based on the Theory of Evolution), and the implemented evolution do the work without human intervention. You did not describe creation.

'A program using genetic search will not produce a combination outside the parameters that its given' That is because the program exists in cyberspace and the parameters themselves are not subject to mutation, natural selection or replication. Only certain aspects that the programmer chooses for are. In the real world there is no such artificial restriction. You could call these parameters genes. And genes do mutate. You get new information. Watch part 5 for more details.

Personally I think it would be wrong to say that because evolution is true there is no god. That is not a necessary conclusion one needs to draw from evolution. It is just that evolution is an unintelligent process that produced an intelligent being. This makes it possible to explain the world without a super-intelligent mind at the beginning. So god seems less likely.

'In addition, the genetic-based search process that biological life uses is never ending, there are always mutations and combinations in the ever going quest to optimize the organism to its environment.' This undermines your earlier claim of finding one right combination. It is never ending because the world is changing. And also because the organisms are not just optimizing themselves to their environment, but also competing with each other. The process feeds itself in the real world.

'The real world is bounded and finite friend :)' Well you made a claim, now back it up.'There is a countable and finite amount of matter on earth and if we could model every atom then we would be able to predict the next state(s) that these atoms can take and hence predict every possible future outcome.'That is called determinism.

In addition, the genetic-based search process that biological life uses is never ending, there are always mutations and combinations in the ever going quest to optimize the organism to its environment. The point I was making is that some people look at evolution and say there is no God. This is not true since there has to be someone to set the parameters. Life can only exist within the parameters. A program using genetic search will not produce a combination outside the parameters that its given

Is the Universe infinite ? If your answer is no, then it is finite and countable. It may not be countable using our current technology.. but it is finite and countable in a mathematical sense. The real world is bounded and finite friend :) There is a countable and finite amount of matter on earth and if we could model every atom then we would be able to predict the next state(s) that these atoms can take and hence predict every possible future outcome.

Firstly, evolution speaks about what happens after life begins. Not how life began. So it makes no comment on creation. That is abiogenesis. About the parameters - the real world unlike cyber-space is not bounded or constant, there may not be one right combination for all time even with finite parameters. 99% of the species ever to roam on the planet are extinct. Also mutation does give rise to new parameters and with it new possibilities of combination. So the equilibrium is shifting, slowly.

To the programmer, you give an Example and you forget your ownwork.. The ultimate number of combinations is finite depending on the number of parameters that you entered.if the original creatures were given x parameters that allows you to have 500 million possible combinations then the evolution process is nothing more than a search for the right combination. God created the world, gave it its parameters and then let the simulation run, just like you did to your program. So creation is real. |
