The street imagery looks familiar, but I checked google Earth and the street scenes are definately not the band's home town of Winston-Salem.

And what would you call "good" music? Is there like a national anthem type song for homosexuals with Down's Syndrome who still live with their parents? I bet you would just looooove that wouldn't you Cunt826?

Good god. I don't know if I have ever in my 28 years been witness to such dim-wittedness.

Ive loved this song for the longest time, its second only to Regina Spektors "Samson" for emotive content in my opinion.I don't understand the abortion thing though. Where in the lyrics does it say anything about abortion?

yeah, i didnt know the song was about abortion either until i visited this songmeanings website, but only then i was like, DUH! makes perfect sense

I didn't know about the abortion part but I always thought it was just about a relationship where you love somebody, but they are holding you back because their life is going nowhere. Sad song about the struggle of loving someone in a destructive relationship. my interpretation atleast although as bob dylan always said "Never create anything, it will inevitably be misinterpreted"

They did love each other. The abortion caused a riff in the end. Now, his conclusion is that she's a brick, weighing him down and drowning him slowly. Sad.

I think of her sinking like a brick in a lake, and 'cos he loves her(attached to her) he is drowning with her. Also I think of a brick of being like emotionless... Blank 'cos of how badly she hurts.I didn't know the song was about an abortion though :P
