I was replying to someone who was saying some pretty crazy stuff in this forum. Youtube appears to have erased his message but kept mine.

ok i get what you are saying. And i agree but I don't know where this New Testament speaking came from because Ecclesiastes is in the Old Testament. Still though you can say the New Testament and people would know what you were talking about.

The Bible contains both the Old and New Testaments. Just like Australia is not the same thing as the planet Earth, The New Testament is not the same thing as The Bible. The book of Kohelet contains Ecclesiastes.

Ok I don't know what the book of kohelet is, but these verse are Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. I don't know who has taught you your theogly but please slap them in the face for me because The NEW TESTAMENT IS THE BIBLE its the same thing, you might say that the Bible is the whole thing. Really it is broken in 2 halves Old and New so the New is apart of the Bible!

Um, the book of Kohelet is not part of the Torah, nor are the verses quoted in this song. Both the Torah and the book of Kohelet are part of The Bible. The New Testament is the not same thing as The Bible. I feel like I am stating the obvious, but apparently at least one person does not know this stuff. That never seems to stop them from posting crazy messages on youtube though.

They're taken almost verbatim from Ecclesiastes 3:1--8 XD

Chunky is probably a religious Jew, although his name is strange. I'm sure he spelled it like that on purpose. Observant Jews never spell out His name in full in a profane setting. This is in fulfillment of the 3rd of the 10 Divine utterances as written on the 2 tablets Moses brought to the Jewish people from Mount Sinai namely not to take His name in vain. |
