Although I believe there is no geographic boundary in science;I admire the smart engineering work in RHex (and Bigdog) but, I guess comparing them with Asimo is not so fair and square.Where RHex (or Bigdog) is designed to be a legged system having high mobility, Asimo is a work to make just a human like robot.It would be better we compare Asimo with its western equivalent humanoid robot (e.g. REEM-B) for judgment.
