Warsow could have been really good, it could have been. But the team added weapons that are just unneeded in to the game. The electrobolt doesn't belong at all. Makes camping to much of a viable strategy. It was awful in CPM and even worse in Warsow. I hate joining a game and realizing that I can move/control the map far better than my opponent but they can still have a decent chance by hiding and sniping at me with an overpowered weapon.

CPM is easier than QW, but default or vq3 is still the easiest movement in the Quake series. The newer games just lack the same level of skill or strategy that QW still offers.
