first off the keeper had to protect himself, and to jason, american football is different, your wearing pads when your hit so you do feel it but not as bad as if you were to get nailed by a goalkeepers knee or feeling the complete force of a slide tackle, so you have no room to relate both sports.

Football doesn't fail actually. It's the most popular and wealthiest sport in the world, accessible to everyone.If proper Football (you know, where you actually use your foot and not your hands) is such a failure then why do you feel so threatened that you feel the need to tell us as much.
