here's a question for iaido practicioners: is it possible to cut through bamboo (or any other object used for tameshigiri) with "drawing the sword" movement ? I'm asking because i've never seen this kind of tameshigiri, and in samurai movies it's often used as a "look how i'm skilled" action.

Hmm...When i train Iaido i use another technique to put the sword back in the Saya. But this one also looks cool and is a lot faster. Gotta try it =P

ok... I hate stupidpeople..... the idiotic comments.... the juvenile bantering..... no wonder I have made it a point to not check the "comments" when view something.......Here's a though-- shouldn't there be a "you must be this tall" requirement for those BrainFarts...... ??~ sorry... I just really hate StupidPeople.....Iaido is far too advanced for the majority...

Amoux. It seems you know nothing about traditional sword arts. What you see in here is pure sword art derived from hundreds years of tradition. Excellent iaido demosntration. But, as one can see, you gather your knowledge from TV shows which disturbs real image of japanese sword arts. If its boring, its not for you. Feel free to state if you like it or not, but dont make a fool of yourself by talking of something you have no idea about.Plus, this is a real sword..Cheers. |
