just like the canadian and the usa inhabitants have their origins from the english above all, and from other european countries, and many other lands, the same happenned to latin america, this is land of immigrants, there's no native race in latin america, ok??, well, a lil but in their reserves not with the rest of population...

you say he looks like french or spanish, you have not idea of how many mexican a lot better like him there are, with blue or green or gray eyes, blond hair, but the movies have created a negative stereotype of the native looking mexican with his ugly mustache, i'm not mexican but i'm latino and my eyes are green, my skin is white,you must not follow the stereotype. If he looks spanish it's because the latin american race that remained pure ever since colonial times is now the same as the spanish

Gael was born in Guadalajara. Many upper class Mexicans do look like Gael. They're just not poor peasantry type we are used to seeing in newsclips coming across the US border illegally. Those are usually mestizo. A Spaniard/Indian mix. By the way, when Gael was a teenager he used to teach reading/writing to the poor indigenous of Mexico. He's not only a great actor but a cool guy in the ways that really count!
