Some background. It was a playoff game. Nadeau was a starter, and the league leader in GAA. Roy was his team's backup, and isn't very good, only playing because the starter had been chased in a route. It was the second game of a best of 7 series. Roy's attack was an attempt to get Nadeau hurt or suspended to help with the rest of the series. Nadeau's reluctance to fight stemmed in part from a desire to avoid getting suspended. Roy getting suspended meant nothing to his team because he sucks.

I wouldn't say Patrick Roy is a disgrace, his son is a disgrace. Of course he didn't win the fight, because there was no fight, a hockey fight is when two guys look eachother in the eyes, and say lets go, if the gloves drop, it's fair game. TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK. |
