It takes you more than 3 hours for these 180km because of the heavy traffic. And flying is much safer than driving on this terrible road. Every night happens bad accidents on Mumbai-Pune Highway.

Yes if you are doing about 300 MPH! It take 4.5 hours from Mumbao to Pune... I have driven it many thimes!!!

there's not many airlines that fly into pune. Jet Airways, Kingfisher and possibly Indian Airlines go there.

That's Lohgaon airport in Pune. A new airport is coming up in Chakan area in next 3 years. |
