What a song, what a performance, what a woman! BEAUTIFUL lyrics as well for those who understand the language (clearly the Irish presenter who says that the song title translates as "Child of the earth" is not one of them!). This should have finished 3rd instead of that piece of CRAP from Denmark that year.

I L O V E D that song cause I was so in love with that girl back then at 1988 when I was 15 yo!!!!.I watched it maybe 1000 times!! I don't know why I (or the most of the Norwegian people) like this song, it is a descentent of the Swedish ESC formula, that's true! But, it's just something with it I simply love! I don't what it is, maybe the great performance, maybe the melody, I don't know. But, it's almost unlegal to not like it here in Norway... (lol) :-P

I totally agree with you on "Nocturne" (one of my all-time faves), but to be honest, I always thought "La Det Swinge" was just you following the Swedish ESC formula (great performance by Hanne and Bettan, though!). My biggest personal favorites of yours actually, besides these two, are "Intet Er Nytt Under Solen" and "Alle Mine Tankar", absolutely amazing songs both of them - and there are quite a few more I like. In fact I'd go so far as call Norway my favorite Nordic country in the contest :-)
