I responded for that exact reason because I felt you took it to literal. And I never once denied that Franklin is average sized fighter at LHW. But hopefully his skills make up for that. I believe it was an interview where I read he said he isn't planning to stay at LHW, the UFC most likely moved him up because his proposed MW opponent would have been Dan Henderson who is ranked under Franklin at the moment. If Franklin won, it would have resulted in a Silva rematch which the UFC doesn't want.

I understand exactly how Franklin was ranked before Silva. That doesn't change the fact that he will only be an average-sized LHW, and my statements about who he will be able to hang with stand. And if you believe that the guy I was replying to meant "only in his own weight class", then why would you even respond to my statement about HW's the way you did? I think you just didn't bother to read the context surrounding my comment.

Actually I made a mistake by posting using my sisters account.The sarcasm isn't neccesary needed if you want to prove your point in a mature way. I'm sure you took his statements to literal, he meant if they were his weight class. But if you are a true MMA fan and I'm sure you are you would know that he was the stable of multiple pound for pound lists until his lost to Silva who is now considered the best in the world. I am a fighter myself, I haven't lost but I only have 3 fights.

thanks for stating the obvious, I'm aware of what weight classes are and why they are relevant- in fact the point of my post was to explain that to the guy I was replying to, who said Franklin could "handel his own in the ufc with anyone" and seemed to think weight classes aren't important. But perhaps you didn't read that far back.

Him not being able to fight HW at his size means he is suitable for his weight class. If he was their size he would be able to give all of those you mentioned a good fight, he is very well rounded. The reason for him moving back up in the first place was because what's the point of him destroying everybody in MW only to most likely fall short not being able to beat Anderson Silva who is considered the best pound for pound by the UFC. LHW should present more challenge than he was getting in MW.

Mabey not the Top guys like Machidea,Liddell,Rampage,W.Silva,Thiago Silva but he can take on Jardine, Houston and Evans.

ok good point, and i wont lie, he had dominated his divison,and i think he cant beata few guys on my list (namely keith jardine,hector ramirez and rashad evans) and i would like to see him tak on wanderlei, dan henderson and houston alexander, i think it would be good

Lets see, ok maybe Lyoto machida because he has a simular style to Anderson, but I really think he can take the rest of your 10..I hear were your coming from but Rich started off in that weight class and moved down..Everyone you mentioned is a perfect match up for Rich's style of fighting..Peace
