Music videos are pieces of art, so what's wrong with making good ones? Good videos complement the song and can intensify the emotions the songs evoke. Look at REM's "Losing My Religion" or Tool's "Prison Sex". The videos add to the experience of the songs.

People are talking about how the video is so cheesy. Well.. in my opinion, that's how it should STILL be. Music is emotion. Music is not meant to be made into a "Cool video" so then people will like the song.

"horrible clip.."I think 99% of old music videos look cheesy. It's just not a medium that stands the test of time well. There are a few notable exceptions (e.g. REM's "Losing My Religion"), but for the most part every time I see an old video that I know I used to like I cringe at how bad it is. 90's grunge and post-grunge is the worst for that. The videos are TERRIBLE! |
