no ground technique is very important in all Dojos especially those which like to have an aspect of 21st century fights were more end up on the ground. we to a ground technique about every 2 weeks or even every week.

some of the nine ryu of the bujinkan are "samurai"schools,and there are many ground fighting techniques.

ive also seen a video of a german bujinkan student winning by submission against a brazilian jiu jitsu student. do they teach ground fighting in bujinkan dojos in general or is this an exeption where the sensei also implements jiu jitsu in his classes?

These techniques are mostly designed to kill or maim(very quickly).They have stood the test of many hundreds of years use-in real life and death situations.I think the training is as close to realism as practical,without running out of trng partners,or ending up in pieces yourself.Students can do what they want in their own time of course..

well its a martial art meant to defend yourself with right? how would they otherwise find out that they know their techniques well enough to use in a real fight other than a simulated fight like a sparring match? and im talking about their unarmed techniques
