Scramjet technology is currently at the proof-of-concept stage. Best guess is it'll take another 15-20 years before we see a practical system.

Why sub orbital 3 minute flights?It would be better if they launched it higher and used a scramjet engine to lift it up high and faster, SpaceShipThree should do this if they don't apply it to SpaceShipTwo.
