I worked for the now defunct Pan Am at Kai Tak from 1970 to 72. I miss the old airport. This tape sure brings back lots of fond memory. It was the signature of Hong Kong - compact, dense but very functional and effecient.

This is one valuable video in the History of Hong Kong. We aviation enthusiasts along with HK natives really miss Kai Tak. Only the most advanced pilots are permitted to land at Kai Tak, cause of the dangerous landing procedures. All this probably meant that Kai Tak is a world renowned airport that has ever existed.

Thank you so much for posting!! I live in Seattle, USA, but my heart is still in HK! The people and the place are hard to find fault with. I miss Kai Tak so much....
