WFB obviously spends time on how he appears to peoples with facial expressions and how he speaks. It's almost laughable how he's talking to Chomski.

very well said my friend.

LoLI see what you're doing... and I like it!

It was not until the 17th century that homos were used purely as ballasts to be shot from British cannons to sink Spanish galleons in Antigua. Such a practice was common among Her Majesty's admiralty to inhibit mercantile sodomy and other wanton indulgences of the crotch. This became the standard of all vessels in Her Majesty's merchant fleet in the Antilles and elsewhere among regular vessels and persons of inferior rank, to regiment men from perpetual sodomy and mutiny of the groin.

i love the illusion of civility some try to impress on others

i think some easily mistake his points for blathering because he is trying to lay out his case in context which for some....it just takes too much thinking power to follow along...wfb seems a little out of his league and you can tell by the facial reactions he gives chomsky...and the comment about punching his goddamn face in...which isn't that far from the remark you made...i guess thats what we get for actually trying to make sense to people too obtuse to think

Lovely!Buckley gives Chomsky the rope and lets him hang himself. He does a fantastic job of blathering with no real meaning. If I were WFB, I would had a hard time not stabbing him in the eye with his ever present pencil.

I think people can thrive wonderfully in ignorance. Answers that justify our place in the world as the good and righteous often times are not the truth.I think this falls along more philosophical lines than political.

Yes-we must search for truth and for motivated belief (for what causes one to believe as one does.) But I think the acid test of one's worldview is, ultimately, its livability. As Jesus said, "Wisdom is justified by her children." (by what she produces.) The refuge and absolution of guilt that ruthless dictators take in Noam's writings doesn't occur by chance.

I agree with you but I think what Chomsky does is attempt to make people question the information they are given by the media and the gov't. But I do agree with you. These are all really endless arguments. If you are working on one set of assumptions and arguing with someone who works on another set of assumptions how can either of you persuade the other?
