Canaanites and Jews lived in the land at the same time...when the Jews returned to Israel from Egypt, they had to fight to re-claim the land from the Canaanites who took it totally over.The Canaanites were defeated and left the land. They left to parts of Lebanon and Syria, and also to North Africa- Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria (the colonies of Phoenicia).The last Canaanites were wiped out by Alexander the Great in Lebanon, and about 500 years later by Rome in the Punic Wars.They don't exist.

Actually neither Jews nor Arabs were in Cnaan first. The Cananites were there long before anyone. Both Arabs and Jews are originally of Iraqi descent (Abraham Iraqi) The Jews were expelled from their land by Assyria and Babylon (northern kingdom then Southern), they didn't just leave. There was never a country called Palestine nor did anyone make a country of "Palestine". The name is derived from the Philistines, sea people who fought many times with the ancient Israelites.

my family has lived in western europe since they were expelled from israel around 70ce! Some people of my community have made DNA-tests which proof that we're of Middle Eastern origin.. Pals have their roots in saudi arabia and jews in israel
