wow guys way to pick up on the sarcasm there. srv covered little wing, voodoo child, red house, and many other hendrix songs. and yes, they had a different touch to them, but hendrix was one of srv's biggest influences. saying that srv has nothing to do with a discussion about blues guitar is just ignorant.

well actually srv did cover some hendrix songsles just say great guitarists can not simply ignore each other music draws musicians together simple as that

yeah you're right. SRV and hendrix probably have nothing in common at all. texas blues is definitely on the opposite side of the genre spectrum from hendrix blues and all. and stevie never covered any hendrix songs ever. so yeah. totally nothing to do with each other.

touche but honestly would you like to see jimis legacy completely die or would u like to see people pay respect to him and play his songs in true form and in a respectful way (in my opinion.) look john mayer is a inspiration because hes one of few musicians left who study the roots and take from other sources to make one whole guitar player
