Guitar hero is far cheaper than a real guitar so i don't think it is because they have the money to play real guitar. Plus real guitar takes far to much time to play. unlike guitar hero where you can master it and play some awesome songs in barely no time at all.

Actually its the other way around this is a re recording by foreigner but since you know that song was recorded over 20 years ago the singer is older and is going to sound different now. But if your looking for the version that sounds most like the original then the cover in rockband is sounds better
