...because usually a 747 crash doesn't highlight a particular design fault that causes the aircraft's CoA to be suspended, unlike the case with Concorde.

No they havent forgotten, because it never happened. When BA operated the Singapore route in the lattes 70's and early 80's, they worked with Singapore Airlines. Half the crew were BA and the others of SQ. G-BOAD, was painted in the Singapore livery down the right side and the BA livery was down the left.
