Hopkins is mesmerizing. Even his adverts are fantastic examples of acting talent.His portrayal of hitler's paranoia and fanaticism is incredible, maybe not a perfect impression of HITLER but of the emotions and mentality of a mad dictator in hitler's position. A brilliant interpretation, who cares about accuracy, it's Anthony Hopkins! Stop complaining.

credit to him, he does do the hand movements well. its tough to pull off a german aggressiveness wen your a charasmatic brit. its not his finest acting but hopkins is a god.

although im a great fan of hopkins performances,..this is NOT hitler. even the best performer can break down with hitler. I think Bruno Ganz' was the best choice for ever.

yeah, I love Hopkins too. I understand the politics make it awkward. But the DNA doesn't. The Brits are Germanic. They are very close to them and their language(english) is of german derivative. It is at last that someone depicts Hitler as he really did...blue eyes, dirty blonde or brownish-red hair. He didn't have Dark hair and a dark moustache as shown in b&w movies of those days. even modern color film; depict him w/darker features. This depiction is the factual appearance.thats all.
