Our (now 5 years old!) Lotty the Rotty is very good with kids, including our very young grandchildren. However, you have to watch ANY dog around children. Can't leave them alone with a baby/young child for a millisecond. Lotty's a handful but the most lovable creature on earth. She's our second Rottweiler; Robin lived 10 years and was another 'love.'

You're right. Rotties Rule! The sweet Lotty will turn five on April 15. Hard to believe. This is our second Rottweiler but probably our last as we're getting older and they are really something to handle as we know from our daily two-mile walks.

Thanks, LamCoooooool. I was a DJ in Syracuse, Boston and El Paso in my younger days. I'm doing some voice over work presently on technical DVDs as I'm semi-retired from the semiconductor industry.

Hey you got a great voice dude, you should be on radio or do some voiceover work. I'm serious.

Well, you're right. Lotty will be 5 April 15 and Rome will be 8 on July 4. And, Lotty is 90# while the terrier is 45#. As they say, Size Matters!!! They fight but I think love each other nonetheless. Dogs rule.

Romy has a hard lesson coming, baby the Rottweiler will be the Alpha Dog in about 14 months. |
