i'm from Northern Ireland. and i consider myself British. i think most of the fols in NI want to be aprt of GB but because they are protestant and most cum from British familys originally anyway. i think that if u want to consider ure self Irish thats fair enough. But if u consider ureself British thats fine to.

this song is very beautiful. we listened to it in an englíshlesson a half year ago (i am from germany) and altough it isn´t to make us sad it makes me sad whenever i listen to it.

Ireland belongs to the people who live there.Ruled from Dublin, Belfast or London is a political choice for the people who live there. Minorities should be protected and for that reason secession should sometimes be allowed. The Parliament of Northern Ireland which was democatrically elected in 1921 chose, under the terms of the Anglo-Irish Treaty, to opt out of the Irish Free State. The important point of the song is however killing people because of religious/political differences is stupid.
