When this aired on The Bugs Bunny Show (the 1960s version), the "July 1953" line was changed to July 1968. The July 1953 was cut from the Cartoon Network version for reasons unknown (since it wasn't racist, I'm going to assume it was cut to keep the cartoon from being a dated reference...or maybe just for time).

I've made jokes about what had become of these guys over the last 50-some years since these cartoons were made. The penguin in this and 8 Ball Bunny is no exception, I joke that he went on to become a bodybuilder, and the villain in this episode had found his way back to the South Pole after about 2 years, a reformed man who shares a few coctails with the penguin every now and then. ;-)
