i just disassembled and assembled my 1911 using this brilliant video guide. thanks very much! btw, there's an article i just read that Browning designed the 1911 with its own parts as it's toolbox (the parts themselves can be used in disassembly/assembly).

In lieu of screwdrivers, you can use an AR-15 firing pin.
