Levels of consciousness. There is no alternative, though, than eating food thathas life.....would you equate a chimpanzeewith a grain. Some believe that fruit, shouldbe the only food, because when we fruit, wedon't kill the host.Does it bother you, that everyday, millionsof living cells in your body, die in serviceto you?

Cardinal Jean Danielou was a Jesuit. He died in 1974. Interesting that Prabhupada states he is being poisoned in later videos. Given the long love affair with that form of assasination by the Jesuit, veeeeery interestink.Interesting as well that the UN was built on the grounds of a slaughter house.

ahhh, good question.almost all plants that people eat, do not require the death of the plant. fruits and vegetables come from trees and plants that remain and continue to produce.grains however are harvested after they are dead. so we do not kill them to harvest.so with a vegetarian diet, there is minimal killing. if we eat meat, we have to firt grow grains to feed the cows, then kill the cows to eat them. not a very efficient use of land, or resources.

What differentiates man from animals is his level of consciousness and his capacity to contemplate the transcendental through meditation. Man, through effort, can experience God directly. However, most of us are distracted badly with an obsession for material gratification and have no idea that God exists in any transcendental way.

hmm..on the one hand he says plants, trees, grass, animals etc are all living beings. But then later he says that it's ok to eat plants (i.e. grain) but Not ok to eat animals? What's the differance? If they are all beings?

No, we do not have to eat meat, the urantia book says adam and eve did not, they knew the combination of fruits and nuts to equal the nutrients in meat. It says the inhabitants reverted back after... read the bookAlso human beings are animals we learn that in school, animals that eat animals, get eaten like animals, steak on a plate to the aliens read bill cooper..

Since the man is a developed form of an animal he still sticks with his past of eating another animals. Its in his genes. I think the man is still an animal cause the man kills another being just like an animal. The only thing that differentiates man from animals and plants is his higher intelligence. Higher intelligence doesnt mean the man is better than an animal or plant.
