I don't know why, but this music goes well with His Grace the Duke of Wellington.

wrong, ceasar only subdued the southern tribes to a treaty they didnt keep and ceasar knew they wouldnt but he could do nothing about it. Your right he was a great general probably one of the best but he did loose in gergovia to Vercingetorix like the britons a celt. He iof all people apreciated the ferocity of the celts which why he was able to conquor them but he met his match (like napoleon) with the celts ins sevral places.

subodai and jebe won most of his battles, however gengis had the force of character to unite the tribes.

i know you made this comment 2 months ago but it has always pissed me of that napoleon gets all the plaudits.he is used as a bench mark for a great general, when in actual fact he lost, and the "sepoy general"won.they use arguments like how he managed to get the shambles of the army of italy into a cohesive fighting unit.but welsley never used conscription.and you can be damned sure if he invaded russia the men would be fed and well equiped.i think it all boils down to anti british sentiment.

Boudacia with the Britian tribe the Iceni 60 and 61AD proved at Camulodunum (Colchester),Massacre of the 9th legion where over 2,000 Romans were slaughtered, Verulamium (St. Albans) and Roman London that Britain were a horrible scourge on the Roman occupation.London,York,Scotland and parts of Wales gave most problems to the Romans, but by late 4th century they joined us or went back to wherever they come from, which at that time was from modern day Italy all over Europe and North Africa.

in response to brit4rver Ceasar lost his first assult against britain because it was only a scout gruop. but when he came himself with his army the britons got their ass kicked and they surendered.as far as i know Ceasar is the only Military leader who have won a campaign without losing one of his own or killing an enemy
