Yes, the system of police was and still is under the british model. That's why the commands are in english. :)

I marched up and down there in Wong Chuk Hang in the early 80s. Bagpipes were the best to march to - Highland Laddie and the Barren Rocks of Aden, all belted with great vigour by the RHKP Band!

Hong Kongers are proud to be under the British empire.Royal Hong Kong police was an example.

I marched there in 1974.... and it was simply marvelous! except of course for the deathly heat and humidity... best drill standard next to the Guards!chuck
