I think that's a very defeatist outlook. The promoters of Big Brother are very intelligent and cunning, but there are plenty of ppl just as smart who are opposed.I also think it's in the interests of corruption to persuade you that any alternative you are presented with is a false choice ... it guarantees that you will not take action because you have already surrendered to what you mistakenly believe to a prophetic inevitability. They can't even get ppl to accept ID cards here yet lol

Could it be that the whole playbook embedded in "The Matrix" is just another of population control? That so called freedom is offered where there is none and that in such the blue AND the red pill are the same, only that the experiences differ? How can you be sure that the new "free world" offered is not just another level of enslavement?I think the so called freedom offered in "The Matrix" and "V for Vendetta" is yet more kool-aid propaganda.Big brother will come, whatever pill we choose.

What you said at the end of this describes me perfectly. I saw it when I was twelve years old and I only liked the special effects and violence and I didn't understand the message. After re-watching it when I was twenty and I had been through a college Philosophy class, I totally understood the message.

Brilliant break down of the film's meaning. There's a lot of stuff I hadn't thought of, and that I probably wouldn't have thought of!

Rob, you should check out Maxwell; it seems he is a misinformation junkie who sprinkles some tempting truths on a whole lot of BS.

This was made in a clever way.. in order to get its message across to as many people as possible it was sold under the idea of brilliant special effects and outstanding fight scenes, (so Hollywood on that level was more than happy to push it).

The word Matrix goes back way before any of our life times and has had a variety of meanings from "womb" to various math applications. I don't think Maxwell can claim copyright as to the words application. Undoubtedly the Wachowski's had done lots of "conspiracy theory" research. I don't think they ripped off Maxwell at all, but he was probably one of their inspirations. Maxwell should thank them for introducing important concepts to audiences that he couldn't reach easily. |
