Exactly the point! People are quick to stereotype Southerners as racist, while the actions of those in the North are just as racist, although they pretend not to be.

That's what I like about the song. At the end he really makes it clear that he knows that its not some hillbillies that keep racism alive."He's free to be put in a cage in Harlem, New York City etc."Harsh, but deserved.
