You kyokushin guys bore me to death. You say you make full contact yet you limit your contact areas. It is a sport. These guys do not make contact because the throat, eyes, testicles, spine, temporal etc are lethal areas. Karate does not limit hand attack to the chest or legs or kicking to the head as kyokushin does. You don't like that, don't study it. It suits us that bozos do other stuff anyway. How old are you, 12?

You may want to know that Nishiyama is in the hospital with advanced lung cancer. He is not expected to leave alive. I am one of his many students.

Now everyone is Sue happy. I was glad to live through the eyes of my father and meet Nishiyama Sensei in person. Thank you Sensei.

My father was a student of Nishiyama Sensei back in the early 60s and 70s. Sensei still teaches at the old dojo in Los Angeles on Olympic Blvd. I got to take my dad to see him in July. It was a touching moment for my dad. My father just past Sept 3 at the age of 65. He always told stories of Sensei and ways of teaching. The harsh training. Wish teachers can go back to the old days of teaching.

not only karate-do but the essence of all martial arts, if they only go after belts, one they won't be very skilled and two they won't understand the meaning of hard work, they will only go after the next belt. |
