This track is from The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles & Fripp: it's an album recorded in 1968 by Robert Fripp, Peter Giles and Michael Giles. It's a very good album, though it's not very well known (to my knowledge). For more info: http://www.elephant-talk.com/w... but the audio quality is not very good)

This kind of reminds me of Les Paul. Even the tone of the guitar is similar to what Les Paul achieved with the Les Paulverizer.

It reminds me of Paganini. In fact, it sounds like there are a string of about 12-16 notes taken directly from Moto Perpetuo.

Don't get me wrong, I love Fripps work, but the opening guitar piece sounds like the stuff I heard on the beverley hillbillies! lol!

The guitar part is extremely tough. I'd like to see some of today's "guitar gods" having a go at this... several minutes worth of running 16ths, with each note being individually picked, and no hammering on....
