Same thing, I typed it on a whim. Thanks for posting this. i remembered this show and people looked at me like i was speaking in tongues whenever i'd mention it. There was also a show called Isis that came on right before or after this, I think.

It just occurred to me that it looks like the kids meet at the end of this opening at the same set as the 12th precinct on Barney Miller. It's just redressed a little.

Wow, just searched YouTube on a whim...thanks for posting this. For some reason, I've remembered all the words to the theme song over these many years. My husband thought I was making it up! Doomsday was my fave back then.

I thought this show was a figment of my imagination.....everyone I have ever asked about it didn't know what I was talking about. I remembered a show that was like the MOnkees and there was a Doc and a Doomsday, but that is all I remembered....Thanks for posting this!!!Didn't they ride around in a giant hotdog car or something like that?

Yea, I was ten when this was on TV, and being a big Monkees fan I enjoyed it. I do remember the hype to make it as big as The Monkees but it seemed like it only lasted one season, where as Monkees where two.Very Monkeesque. Funny each character's quality was singled out like the Monkees were.Cosie was already 30 when this was filmed he is the age of the Monkees early 60's now, other 3 were early 20's in 1976.Still the best Monkee copy cat I've seen to this day.I too would enjoy a DVD release. |
