out of all the sad songs i heard in my 52yrs of life this ranks as in the top 5.its haunting..sweet.sad..a tear jerker for sure..my heart is in between breaking, happy and sad craving.lonely.and thinking back how it used to be in the 50s n 60s.this song is timeless however.

Hands down the best damned vocals anywhere. A lovers' song to be sure. The flip side is as wonderful. I have the 45, it's one of my treasures.

Sorry, "ikashka", but I'm from CANADA, and in the old days we couldn't always access all American Music, but thanks for tuning me in. This would have been a great "Party Song" in my time and place. I guess I grew up in the wrong 'hood!. Best wishes!

Don't know what 'hood you grew up in, but where i'm from, this tune was a must at all the parties 'round the way. Their other hit tune "been so long is also slammin'. This is one of my all toime favorite. Thanks!
