Why German ? Look: It is like if you are British and your friend is Irish .. you understand him and he understands you kind of - but after all he is talking Irish and not English. Falco is talking/singing austrian and not german that is why Germans like me do not understand everything. :S (I hope u get what ment to say :P)To the Video:This is one of the best Songs by Falco.

I guess there are also lots of Germans out there who don't really have a clue what this song and this video is about (even when the understand the viennese slang). The song is just too much about sex & crime & politics (or on the other hand about the cliches about that), as it can be found in Vienna. You have to know details like "who was Udo Proksch" or "what was the club 45?" ... So it's really hard for people who haven't experienced the 80's in Vienna or Austria. But the music is hot anyway!

however, I don't speak German at all but I love Falco and his music. And I don't understand the video, either... I found his lyrics transleted to English and I have to say that I can't see the relation between the video and the lyrics... :? But all in all: Falco 4ever!!!!! :D

i just want to say something about your comment "i don't think understanding german would help me..." no it wouldn't help you because most the time falco sings in "wienerdeutsch" (slang spoken in the capital of austria) so many people who speak german don't understand what falco is singing, too.
