I dont understand why you dont just use the side-chain channel built into the ablton compressor. Just add the compressor, click on the arrow and enable side-chain ... I am confused

It's not necessary to make the second track for the kick drum, you just need to turn up "KeyVolume" in the Sidechain Compressor.Good tutorial nonetheless.
