I am half-Filipino and grew up knowing Tagalog. Also, I don't need to "feel imported" because I live in the US (duh?). I do watch Discovery Channel and History Channel, but I do NOT watch them regularly because I have a job, go to the gym, read books, and play sports with friends. In short, I live in the real world.Sometimes it benefits you as a person if you're not consumed by TV. Try living in the real world and not through a box.
