Some idiots join the military. The military is a microcosm of society with (in America) a leaning towards the underprivileged and dumb. I know this because I served. It's unfortunate that the military attracts lower class individuals, but it will be the case until the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are over. That being said, I've known many intelligent military people - who have advanced degrees. I hope these people will stop the immense bloodshed. War is barbaric and a LAST resort. |
