that was a very intense day.the picture of us running with the fence ended up on the cover of TIME magazine-the symbolismof that action alone..its crazy to think that was almost 9 years ago.where did the momentum go?

I would like to participate in something like this. Not because I believe in anything. But for the same reason I have sparred in MA. It would be equally exciting to participate as a rioter or a riot police officer. But that being said, like fighting, the whole act is ridiculous. It's part of human nature, but it's depressing to see these things and just how absurd our lives as humans really are. But since I am a human, participating would be fun.

Can I just say that I think you should be careful about always exclusively terming a black bloc 'anarchist' these ad hoc movements are made up of a large variety of autonomous, anti-capitalist more radical individuals not just anarchists although yeah...it is what anarchists tend to favour in order to show unity and to keep safe as well as protecting identity and making a symbolic gesture among other things.

the they kept pushing forward like robots, even though they'd been told that there was a girl that had hit the deck in front of them.it was then that i turned around from facing the cops to facing the big, brave dublin black bloc, threw a few punches at the fools and retired to the sidelines to wait for the water-feature, the water canon!!
