William Gearhart: WWII Veteran

Mr. Gearhart trained as a gunner in WWII and was assigned to operate the ball turret gun while part of the Army Air Corps. On a massive bombing run over Berlin, his plane was hit, and he had to release the ball turret.This video was produced by WOSU Public Media as part of ohiowarstories.org. It was created with the generous assistance of the Longaberger Foundation, and videotaped by students from Newark High School in Ohio.
