*****Please read at least this********* Version: v1.4**** My Ping: ~53**** target's ping: ~86NOTES: I did not modify the game in any way to make this video. No CFGs or alterable console values or whatever -- NOTHING was modified.I was ducking when I shot the sniper rifle, although the sniper rifle is accurate in all stances.. proning and ducking barely increases sniper rifle accuracy at all - only slightly.*************************a friend and I joined an empty server (someone else's server where we got ~70 ping) and tested the hit detection for battlefield 2. it's pretty ridiculous.maybe understanding where you need to aim will make this game a little less frustrating for you.The game displays a small yellow "X" over your crosshair if you successfully land a hit on an enemy, but because of the reduced resolution and the video compression, it's somewhat hard to see when it does show up in this video. so i added a Beep sound indicating that the "X" popped up. if you want you can view it in fullscreen if you want to make sure, and see the X's for yourself.hope this helps someone..the song is by Metallica called Sad but True and metallica retains copyright ownership etc..

yep Ive unloaded clips on people and nothing hits point blank almost. Most annoying thing - u shoot a rocket, die, and the rocket dissapears. Go figure. Still fun tho. Most kills with grenades ha - and I dont spam em

This is 100% accurate. It pisses me off so much when get owned because my hits are registering. I have a new technique now of running sideways when being shot at. I'm almost never hit.

or it proves that I -dont- need to play bad company, lolis it any better in that game? I know in BF2142 the problem was *exactly* the same

this proves you need to play bad company !

Yeah, ur right, release2. Altering the interpolation time sorts out the hitbox issue for many. Sadly some servers have been kicking for it. They like to get easy kills, rather than being owned. Electronic Arts, THERE IS NO POINT PLAYING A SHOOTER IF THE GUNS DON'T SHOOT WHERE YOU POINT. Seriously, WTF?

Ah yes! This man speaks the truth! When two players go head to head there is only one winner, only one man who basks in victory. Except when they kill each other.Ping does help a lot, but often times strafing or diving can beat low ping. But you're right, of course having low ping gives you an edge.

adjust config all u want. when u go head to head with someones whos got a low ping of 10-20 and u got average ping of 70, theres always 1 winner.even with extrapolation @400. even when you aim at the head.

is it reducing the interpolation/exterpolation and latency value in your usersettings.con ? It helps a wee bit for me. But only a little bit. I hear that computers with good specs can handle the lowered values better.if anyone does this, take note that some servers kick you for altering those values whatsoever which is bullshit
