this is overall a solid video. BUT...do you need the but? daft punk are djs. djs sample music. what's the conflict? thanks, though, for this--it was interesting to learn about and hear what they originally sample. and this shows that, from a dj standpoint, how original daft punk are, given that, instead of just inserting a sample, they modify it, make it their own.

If you haven't noticed what you've shown us are from the same album called Discovery, except "Robot Rock". If you're a bit aware you'll also notice that Discovery is actually "Disco-very" because of the music they chose to remix, all of them being old disco hits. And they are DJs, so they can remix any music the way they want to. If the followings has been said before I am sorry, I was too lazy to read 6000+ comments.

this isn't plagiarism.. daft punk gives credit to the ppl that made those songs inside the cover of their albums

Pretty interesting video, but its not secret that groups like Daft Punk are famous for mixing older disco/funk music with bass and beats. Not sure if the point of this video was to "reveal" Daft Punk, but if it is, congratulations on failing. |
