every time i turn on my computer it needs to run chkdsk. when it says press any button to cancel chkdsk it still runs, and i need to wait to hours to use my computer, by then it over heats, what can i do to disable chkdsk?

Or, just grab a copy of diskeeper. We use diskeeper on our servers here to defrag close to nine terabytes a week.

In Vista is always tells me that I have to run it on Reboot. It checks fine on my XP machine, but not on my Vista. Tells me that it will schedule a scan on reboot. Not sure if this is a Vista thing or what. :S

well i will have to look into this because i am always changing everything as well as adding and deleting things on my computer. luckly for me i havent had a problem yet with anything.
