What edgy music did Lenon do as a post-beatle? I think Live & Let Die, Maybe I'm Amazed, Band on the Run...etc have much more melody...and it's pretty obvious that Paul was the beatle with the most talent

Valid point, but I also think that he put so much energy and time and blood into the Beatles, that Wings was just more of a fun project. I don't think his intent was to write political songs. He just liked the process and wanted to have fun and loved music and wanted to tour. He didn't HAVE to do anything. I admire John and George and what they did, but I still love Wings even if it is "fluff". It just makes me happy. And the world needs all of those things. xx Bless

Cool bass line, but it's crap like this which makes people shake their head and wonder how the same guy wrote Eleanor Rigby. Too much of his post Beatles music is like this. His personality always shifted too much towards the pop side of music. He would've been scary brilliant if he had been more like a John Lennon, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young guys that didn't give a crap what people thought and did whatever they wanted and had that raw and edginess to their music... something paul never had.
