www.ProGuitarShop.com-The Catalinbread Varioboost is an original design in boost pedals. This little puppy isn't your standard clean boost. The Varioboost is actually one band of a high quality parametric eq! Sure you can get your standard clean boost, but who wants that when you can boost or cut any frequency between 70 Hz and 1.4 Khz! That means you can cut the muddy mid boost from your old overdrive pedal, or add a mid boost to your cranked out Marshall. Give some low mids to your 10" speaker or cut some from that old 12". The Catalinbread Varioboost is a custom eq channel and boost all in one tiny little package! The Catalinbread Varioboost is cool. As an eq pedal, the boost is warm and sweet with just enough Q to get an even, defined response. We found the Varioboost useful for cutting out the midrange hump from a Tube Screamer or to add some low end that the TS is known for cutting out. It is also great on the front end of a Lonestar to get more of that Texas type of tone and add some character. As a straight clean boost the Catalinbread Varioboost is transparent and smooth and keeps your tone sounding like your tone.

Will this pedal work with bass?

Very cool pedal!! Something going on with this pedal that sounds easy to use and easy to squeeze out some cool sounds. However, NOT easy to find one right now, but finally found ONE and will post a review later. Hell even the Catalinbread dealers cant get them or answers as to when they will be available. Catalinbread seems to be polite, but not much for answering emails. MAYBE they are in the back filling thousands and thousands of orders and cant email right now,,,NAAAAAAH!

That has to be the most user friendly eq pedal I've ever seen. Sweetness! This thing is perfect for layering guitar tracks, this would come in handy in the studio, quick and easy to set up a

doesn't the playing at the beginning remind you The Greeting Song by RHCP?:-)

so i finally got this a few days ago...let me just say that it's amazing. it really makes your tone better...if you set the EQ flat and just give it a slight gain boost, then you just get your exact same tone only clearer. if you play with the EQ you can get some really great sounds! i LOOOOOVE this pedal!!!!
