you should watch epee fencing.. it's quite different, it's the heaviest weapon and isn't as flimsy as foil

It's very exciting when you're the person fencing, not watching. You have to think really fast what to do, and need to react pretty fast to each opponent's movement. And this weapon is called "Foil" or "Fleuret", there are 3 different weapons: Foil, Sabre, EpeeThis is foil, it's about hitting your opponent's body ( chest, upper shoulders, back, stomach) if the blade were too hard it will hurt your opponent.

never seen fencing... i thought it would be more exciting..... it also seems cooler to use a more firm object cuz it seems way too offensive if its bendy

the ting on thier back is attached to thier sword, so when they score a point, it makes a noise so you know who got the point first.

The valid target area varies from weapon to weapon. In foil it's the torso and crotch...the part covered by the metallic vest (called a lame'). Epee is the entire body, from head to toes. Sabre is everything from the waist up (except for the hands...target stops at the bony part of the wrist)
