praveengo -religion and spiritulaity are both huge scams . They make people rich , put people in power , give control and acess to riches and sex ect..Beware the con artists.

It's just that the easterners focused on developing the spiritual/internal/subjective aspect of themselves more than the west. West focused more on the external/objective.Now, however, it seems that the west has had such an influence on the eastern collective consciousness over the last 200 or so years that most easterners value western principles of materialism and wealth more than spiritual dev.

That is true as far as our history goes, but they did not originate from any of those traditions. They originate from the dimension of spirit.

These principles were put forth by easter religions ( Vedic, Hindu, Buddhism, Jainism etc) thousands of years ago.
